:- 3.0 out of 5 stars from AJT -- Typical EMP/Prepper series, but preachy and abrupt ending : This was overall an “ok” series. The characters and prepper/apocalypse storylines were pretty good, but nothing new or ground-breaking. “Covert op” and fight scenes were fairly unrealistic especially in terms of “survivability.” Still, it was all certainly entertaining and got me invested in the story (enough to read all 3 books, obviously). - 3.0 out of 5 stars from K. Cate -- Finally a conclusiom : I’m a David Kazzie fan from the first read of the Immunity series. This one, a little bit of a letdown for me. This was a good enough ending to the EMP series as it was quite hard to imagine a way to end what happened. I found myself skipping all of the sections of reminiscing about Jacks days in the service though, it got a bit long winded for me - like it was just filler to make the book longer. I found the whole Device that caused the problem and the solution a bit far fetched too. I liked the overall series though and am glad I read them. Also, the vaccine does not work as we thought it would. I have the vaccine, but people who have had COVID are better protected than me. Otherwise the story is good.
